Welcome to Elgin Bears Football.  We have over 60 years of history on Drake Field and we are looking for your child to continue this tradition.  We provide football at six different levels of competition based on age and weight from 5-14 years old. These levels are explained more below.

Our players are taught to follow the guidelines set up by the Positive Coaching Alliance to be a Triple-Impact Competitor.  Our coaches are trained to coach our athletes to make positive contributions in these three levels:

Make oneself better (Personal Mastery)
Make teammates better (Leadership)
Make the sport better (Honoring the Game)
 
Football teaches players throughout the season important life lessons.  We feel these life lessons stay with our players and provide a life time of gifts including:

All of our football coaches need to fulfill several training courses before they are able to coach in a football game.  These training courses include: 1) obtaining a yearly USA Football Heads Up Certification, 2) attending a Positive Coaching Alliance presentation and 3) background check.  We know our coaches are trained on more than just football.  We want them making a great influence on your child and their safety. 

We continue to strive to provide the best football experiences for all our athletes.  We provide the most comprehensive coaching training as a proud member of NIUYFL (Northern Illinois United Youth Football League).  It’s not buying in to our program…it’s believing in our program!
